The Aikido Gi SHIZEN is made from high-quality organic cotton and follows the classic Bu Jin Design® cut. Developed for aikidoka who value natural materials, durable quality and a calm appearance during training.
A gi that combines tradition, sustainability and functionality.
Material & workmanship
The Gi is made of medium-weight organic cotton (8 oz) and is manufactured from GOTS-certified fair trade yarns.
The cotton comes from a sustainable project run by Cotonea in collaboration with Helvetas. The jackets are then sewn in our own sewing workshop in Europe.
Reinforcements made of Coolmax fabric in the shoulder, neck and chest areas wick moisture away and protect the cotton fabric from wear and tear.
Cut & comfort
The Bu Jin Design® cut follows a clear, classic line.
The shoulders are neatly finished and the length of the jacket is chosen so that the gi stays securely in the obi even during intense movements. The medium-weight fabric provides a comfortable balance between stability and freedom of movement.
The gi is equally suitable for men and women.
Variants
In addition to the regular sizes, tall variants are also available.
These models have the same width but a longer jacket length and longer sleeves, making them particularly suitable for taller aikidoka.
